Justice delayed for blasphemy law victim, Aasia Bibi

At the hearing on March 26 at Lahore High Court Naeem Shakir and CLAAS’s lawyers, S K Chaudhry (who originally submitted the appeal) Tahir Bashir, and Nasir Anjum all appear before Mr. Justice Sardar Tariq Massod and  Mr. Justice Abdual Sami Khan.

Despite appearing calm and determined to conduct the hearing for the blasphemy law victim, they had to adjourn the matter because the complainant, Qadri Salam’s lawyers, could not attend the hearing.

Aasia’s husband Ashiq Masih was also present in court to support her.

According to Josepg Francis, Director CLAAS-PK, keeping in view the judges determination, he is hopeful that the case will be concluded soon with a positive outcome for Aasia.

A new hearing date has been set for April 14.
